Can anyone recommend a good quality brand vehicle cover for a Toyota Highlander? Should I avoid certain types of covers or certain materials? Are there any potential issues with using a cover?

Yes. As i discovered the hard way, unless your vehicle is 100% Completely clean, putting a cover on will rub in any dirt and scratch the hell out if your paint. If you are detailing your car then storing it indoors its great. As a means of keeping your vehicle clean outdoors it has major drawbacks.

Years ago I lived in a condo and bought a new truck. I thought I was doing well by using the cover but after 6 months I realized my truck was covered in swirly light scratches.
