Had these for years, but I am not sure that they are. Hummingbirds enjoy when they bloom.

A variety of canna lily would be my best guess.

It is. Canna lilies are weird for hummingbirds. I've seen some species that they love, but others that they will have nothing to do with. I had a red variety once that they liked, but I have a yellow now that they don't touch.
OP, take a pic when it blooms. There are a bunch of varieties/species.
