Hello, first time poster here.

Im turning the backyard of my office into a zen garden and wondered if anyone had any experience with them?

I have a 35 ft by 74 ft yard… i was going to get a japanese red maple as the focal point and place some large rocks around a winding stepping stone walking path with raked sand/ gravel

No idea what im doing but ive always wanted one and its going to be a business expense so i might as well do it right…

The major issues i see is how to hell to acquire the large boulders as they are insanely heavy.

Thanks in advance!

where are you located? If the business is paying for it, hire a landscape architect and start researching high end landscapers in your area. It’s important to get the plumbing right as a water feature(s) is a big part of the feng shui…along with gentle movement and harmony among sounds/colors/textures

I've been thinking of doing something similar in my backyard.

You're gonna want some Japanese style lanterns in there.

You can take some pictures of the area, and run it through an AI like Grok, and tell it "turn this space into a Japanese Zen Garden." It may not be perfect, but it'll give you ideeas.
