The new ones have a slimmer cord between lights and also have a warm white
How do you not notice that hideous white or the fact the colors are completely different from one light to the next?

My lights are divided into two sections, and each is powered by a 12v 360w power supply. I send power to both the beginning and end of each section from the power supply.
I don’t remember exactly how long the sections are but I think they each used 5 to 6 strips that were 5 meters long and had 30 led/meter, so maybe you can compare how much power you are supplying to your lights.
also what controller did you use? and how many of them? look slike you have longer runs. and that data will slow way down on those runs.

My GE lights have different variations of which that I can swap between warm and daylight white. Kitchen is usually always cool white. It really just depends on your preference. Daylight white is much more modern now and used in houses with higher ceilings. Warm white is definitely older but more homey-feeling.

I installed the 100ft of Govee permanent this past weekend. Really had 0 intentions of doing this until this thread. Turned out great. I have one section left because I need another extension cord.
The white cables definitely stand out if you don’t have white eaves that’s a somewhat big negative. Hanging the lights is a piece of cake. I have a simple roof probably a 2/5 difficulty so that helped.

Paint them the matching house color or if you have brick, match the grout color?

Yeah there's definitely some options, I'm going to consider painting them. My guess is in the future they will also have other options.
I was simply pointing out that's a small negative that will be a big one to some people.
Some of it also depends on where your soffit's are located. If they aren't close to your front door where the average person enters the house, very very small detail.
Lights look incredible at night and very very easy to program with tons of options.

I used the 2815, it has redundancy so that if 1 led goes out, it doesn't affect the downstream leds.

I'm using 2 digunos with wled, 1 for each section. I originally tried just using 1 for the whole thing, but the animations were extremely laggy towards the end of the run.

I have 96' of 5000k LEDs in my garage and I freaking love them.
But for floodlights or anything outside those harsh white lights look awful to me. Give me soft white lights all day long especially if I might want to use them year round. I like the options.
I also replaced all the cans in my last house with the feit Costco colored ones and we used the blue white once in awhile but 99% of the time it was soft white.
