I want to throw some additional seed down because I have some areas that don’t have grass. Any issues with just broadcasting seed directly on top of existing centipede? Should I fertilize right after? Any advice is appreciated.

If possible, before seeding, break up the existing soil somewhat by raking. Keep the soil moist for a few weeks following. Don’t fertilize.

Overseeding centipede is kind of a waste of money. If the areas are thin there are other reasons like large patch, compacted soil, lack of proper irrigation, lack of sunlight, etc.
