Once again, lets talk robot pool cleaners

I have a pool that is in a pool cage. The only thing that I typically get in my pool is sand from the pavers. Recently, we have put a ton of plants and trees inside our cage in pots. Now I am getting some leaves in my pool and im getting tired of scopping them off the bottom every day.
Im thinking of getting a robot pool vac to toss in the and pick up the leaves and sand vs me having to scoop them out and use my manual vac.
Do I want one with a cord or not? I know thats a vague question but it seems like getting a cordless unit would be so much easier. I have plenty of power around the pool and I have a lanai to keep the robot plugged in to charge if needed
Id like to get something that is less that a grand if possible. I need to go to the pool shop near me tomorrow (Leslies Pool equipment) and Id like to know a little somthing before I go. I did check their prices off their website on a couple units and they are very close to Amazon pricing

Check out the Aiper web site. I have the Seagull pro and the Surfer. I am happy with both.

unless your leaves go straight to the bottom, get a Betta Bot robotic skimmer. It will keep the leaves from settling to the bottom. My neighbor has way too many sweetgum trees and the Bettta Bot is a lifesaver for me.

That is exactly what's happening and why I'm considering this. If they were on top, I would just scoop them up with the net, but they are definitely getting on the bottom and they're small so they're a little more difficult to scoop up with the net

After doing a few days of research, I went with this guy. Dolphin Quantum. It's a corded model and got great reviews. Since I am in a pool cage and mostly get sand and some small leaves from our potted plants, this guy seem to be the right choice. Has the xtra fine filter and fine filter so It should pick up the sand.
My pool is a 12x24 rectangle and I have a AC outlet near the middle of the pool about 8 feet away. The 50 foot cord should be enough. It does not have all the wifi and bells and whistles but seems to be rated very high on the reliability and function. Will do the walls and scum line as well.
Should have it Thursday so I will give it a try.

I have a Dolphin. Different model from yours. Works great and you’ll be pleased.

Do you use the pool often?
I had one in ST Pete .....hit the pool every morning when I got up ...
I miss it in Birmingham now .....Nothing here to hold me in Birmingham, I may kick out my renters and take back the house in Clearwater ....

We basically use it everyday. We also have a hot tub that we use a lot as well. Unfortunately, the robot cant work in there.

We’ve had the Dolphin Proteus DX4 since we build the pool in 2022. Been extremely happy with it. We purchased the ultra fine filter for the sand/dirt when the landscaping was not completed.
We also bought the caddy which helps with keeping the cord free from tangles and I can easily put it away when needed.

This has been my biggest complaint about my Dolphin. My cord won't stop getting tangled. I probably need to just buy a new one, but damn they aren't cheap. Stretching it out on the hot concrete helps, but only if you remember to do it. I think my next one will be a cordless one.

I need to look at that. I dont know what a caddy is or why I need one.
I also have not thought about where I am going to store this thing when I am not using it. I have a pool box out there but its pretty full with floats and chemicals and bird food

The caddy is probably overpriced for what it does but it helps keep everything organized and neat.
