Suggestions on a good okra variety to plant besides Clemson Spineless or cowhorn. Thanks for Suggestions.

I always plant longhorn and pick it when still a little small and tender.

I planted red burgundy last year and picked every other day trying to keep harvested pods under 6". As far as eating goes, the same as green. Turns green when cooked. In BTR Cleggs carries it among it's Naylor's seeds selection.
It does have very fine spines on underside of leaves. Wear gloves and long sleeves or it stings a bit.

Cajun Jewel is a good one. There's really not a huge difference between a lot of them, to be honest.
If you want a pretty unique variety that makes a large pod, try Star of David okra.

I’m planting Orange Jing this year per the recs of a few others I know. If nothing else they’ll be easier to spot and pick. Lol.

Did well with jambalaya, short variety and an early producer.

I've planted Perkins Long the past 2 years. Pick between 3-5" long. I like it because it can get a little longer than most and stay tender. I also grew Alabama Red a few years ago--a short variety that you can't let get over 3" long if even that.

I like Emerald Green - doesn’t get quite as tall as Clemson Spineless, and you a get a bit more time to pick them before they become fibrous/unedible. For some reason I’ve not had good luck with Jambalaya in my garden.
