Strange problem. Kitchen faucet hot water is only lukewarm. No hot water issues elsewhere in the house and it flows normally just doesn't get hot. Any ideas?

Might be the internals of your faucet.

Is this something that has changed recently? Does your faucet have a single lever like most kitchen faucets?

most likely the mix valve is clogged up or bad
shut off water, open the lines under sink and point them in a bucket somehow.
now unscrew the screen from faucet and use an air hose to blow through the faucet with just the hot water on and see what happens. if it blows crap out, then its fixed, if not then its time for a new faucet

New home to you or lived there awhile? As in did this just start?
Turn on the how water only, what happens? Luke warm water? If so, turn off the cold water connection under the sink, then see what happens? If its hot now, then your mixing is messed up.
If its a single handle faucet as said its probably allowing some cold water in to be mixed. Probably just a bad handle part like a rubber washer.
What i'd suggest if you still haven't figured it out is turn off the hot water valve under the sink, unscrew the connection under the sink from the hot water to the faucet, or just at the valve and then slow turn the valve with a rag underneath or a bucket to fill and see if the water is hot from there? Report back.
