Neighbor of mine continually has moths in her yard. After doing some digging it appears they are sod worms (possibly) but not much is offered in the way of a true remedy.

Anyone else experience this and what did you do to counteract them? TIA

Update to OP: Neighbor went ahead and bought the Talstar and applied it 3x over the past two weeks and slowly but surely the moth/sod worm issue has decreased significantly.

Appreciate the input fellas

Neighbor had them. County agent recommended talstar

But I feel like this was in the fall. Maybe a different bug? These were maybe 1/2” long and very light brown/tan.

For the little white moths yes it’s sod web worms and u need to put out insecticide granules to kill them off / do it or they will destroy your yard with the quickness

Your looking for a product with bifenthrin as the active ingredient. Talstar is a good option. The trick is you have to apply multiple times. The little bastards just move back and forth from lawn to lawn in the neighborhood. Apply every 2 weeks until there's no more sign of them.

Wow, it's early. I usually don't get all the moths until July or August. Once you see moths put down some incecticide. I use Anderson's Duocide at the recommendation of "How To with Doc" (Youtube).

The worms come with the quickness though, almost overnight your grass will start looking thin and chewed up. I'm going to try to catch them early this year. Check your grass every day.

Appreciate the input guys. (Thankfully) it's my neighbors yard down the street, not adjacent to me.

Meeple, yea there are yellow spots and the moths tend to be located all in the same general area every year.
