I have hardwood now. New house (800k - so relatively high end) is all LVP and Tile in the bathrooms. I hate how the hardwood has held up with dogs and life.

Agree, while my home isn’t that much when we built we were tired of how the hardwood held up at the old house. Also, didn’t want to clean grout lines. We love this floor. Very sturdy, easy to clean, looks great. I don’t try to pass it off as wood, it is what it is. If we get tired of it in a few years and want something else It’s easier than carpet to pull up and definitely easier than wood or tile to pull up. I have multiple friends on the Northshore with million dollar plus homes all with LVP.

I can’t see why anyone who can afford a million dollar home would skimp and put an inexpensive vinyl, thereby reducing the value of their million dollar home.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying it’s not a good floor, it has its applications, but it is a low-end product.
I’m a tile guy, have always been a tile guy, and when I look at the LVT I am reminded of the old sheet vinyls.
