I have a couple small flower beds at the front of a rental. Before tenants moved in, I cleaned them out and planted some fresh flowers. After the freeze, everything is dead and weeds are popping up. I need something low maintenance that I don't have to worry about and looks okay. I have seen some rock gravel beds.

I’m actually being somewhat serious

Got tired of plants dying in a small garden area on our rental. Due to facing due-east (direct morning sun), huge oak trees in front, roof overhang, etc etc
There’s everything from full sun, to partial shade, to full shade, all within a tiny 10ft bed.

Bought a fake gator, fake lilly pads, and cut cypress knees. Can’t get anymore maintenance free if nothing can die.

Disclaimer: we have since added some real plants, but the premise was originally to be artificial and maintenance free
