Has anybody purchased Lesco products at a SiteOne location? I believe they are the same company. I have heard their products are good quality and good pricing if you can find a SiteOne store. Luckily I have one right next to where I work.

Wanted to see what the board thought of their fertilizers and such. I am not having much luck with big box store products.

How so?
Site One sells Lesco products.
Site One is the parent company of Lesco.
Lesco products are just fine, but I don't think they'll give you more "luck" than a Lowe's fertilizer.

Site One is best for hard to find, more advanced, lawn products,
an example being Specticle Flo pre emergent.

Site One is solid. I buy 20-30 Lesco 80# spreaders a year from my Site One.

Yes - I purchase LESCO & other brand products from the SiteOne store in BR. If you can establish an account & get contractor pricing even better. The only downside I’ve found might be for certain herbicides that you use as a homeowner might be sold in a much larger quantity container than what you require as their primary customers are lawn professionals.

How does one do this?

Well I actually had an LLC I was able to establish the account under which is likely a requirement. But honestly a retail customer & “business account” customer appears to pay the same on many of their products, though if I recall correctly, items such as lawn fertilizers & other soil amendments might be about 25-30% less with the business account. But even if paying full retail price, their pricing is lower, or at least comparable, to retail garden centers, and often on-line pricing.

I buy stuff from my Site One all the time. It’s quality products. Site One is where all our yard and landscaping companies seem to shop. It’s funny though I actually like the Lesco 15-0-15 with 2% iron at Home Depot better than the Lesco I buy at Site One. I have not a clue why but that Lesco at Home Depot works better in my yard.

For herbicides I’ve been finding that stuff cheaper on Amazon than in stores.

I like to buy stuff to from Ron Henry. His YouTube videos are very helpful and his online store is LINK

I bought some Golf Course Lawn Micros Blends manufactured by Anderson’s and another product called NutriSolve Bio Nutrients with seaweed, kelp, etc. Good grief both that stuff will turn a yard dark green when you spray it on your yard. A 2.5 gallon jug of that Anderson stuff cost $150 and it’s worth every penny.

Ron Henry is one of the good guys. Sure, he likes pushing his products ... but he has live streams once a week (some upwards of 3+ hours) where you can ask him any lawn related questions and he normally provides good insight / feedback.

Highly recommend following him and jumping on his live stream to check it out.

Ron is a great guy. He’s helped me a lot over the years as this board has. Those bio nutrients he sells on his store website really turn my yard green yet I don’t have to mow as much. He’s high on Celsius and Certainty so I buy those two herbicides on Amazon. On other products if it’s an affordable type higher I’ll buy it from Ron just because of his insightful videos and shows he does. The man works hard and I certainly appreciate that in a person. When I’ve emailed him a question he responds pretty quickly with an answer. Between Site One, Ron’s online store, and the local feed store I pretty much get all professional grade lawn and garden products and don’t have to fight the crowds at the bigger box stores. I will say I get much better results spending the extra money and just buying what the professionals do.

Very well said and I agree 100%.

He passed a comment during his live stream this past week that he may either slow down or stop answering e-mails from people that are not part of his "lawn academy" group. I'm not sure how serious he was or if that'll actually happen, but if he does stop, I would consider paying the one time fee to have access as he's provided a ton of answers and suggestions to questions / issues I've had.
