I made some farmhouse furniture. Coffee table, end tables, entertainment center, and a kitchen table. I've finished them all except the kitchen table.

I put three to four coats of poly on what I finished, but it just doesnt seems to be thick enough to hold up to wear on the kitchen table. Is there something better I could that will be more durable and less susceptable to moisture?

Thanks.

You can always use tongue oil. It's easier to do any touchups and refinishing.

I did 5 coats on mine, lightly sanded between each coat. Still looking good and the kids have been putting it to the test.

Can't apply tung oil over poly.
