Man I would really say add an AC vent from central AC.

Dang, my house has a garage and then “tool room” that has AC duct into the tool room area. Doors separating garage and said room. That room stays pretty much in line with what thermostat is set at.

Garage only has limited exposure to AC.

So clearly I was mistaken.

I put a ductless unit in my garage. Best decision I have ever made.

My sister just had the insulation in her house "topped off." She also had them add insulation to the area over the garage. This is typically not done.

She said it made a world of difference in the temperature in the garage. Cost was an additional $400.

NVM...I see you have a room above. But others may want to consider this.

I know a guy with a shop w/ no A/C, he has a dehumidifier running and it always feels way more comfortable in there than you'd expect.

i threw a dehumidifier in my small store room and ran it just to try it out... and yes... while still hot it was way more comfortable in there than outside in the humid air.

I bought one of these for sitting outside on my deck. I am thinking of trying it in my garage.

I tried this and it turned my garage into a sauna and only brought the temperature down 3 degrees from 96 to 93.
How much would a mini-split system cost to be installed and what size would I need for a standard two car garage?
