Just planted some ligustrums. Question

Planted four 15-gallon ligustrums on the side of our house. I would’ve picked a different shrub/tree but they were a gift.
That side of the house gets very limited sun and the soil is mostly clay. Are these DOA? Any tips on watering? They’ve been in the ground 24 hours. Baton Rouge.

they'll grow. trim them once a year so they'll get thick (if that's what you're looking for).
pretty hardy as regards to water/sunlight.

Wasps like them so be careful when trimming them. Otherwise, very easy to maintain.

They are pretty bulletproof, but they don't like wet feet.

Water once a week, but otherwise trouble free. You may seen fungal spots in the winter.
