ISO Home Generator Advice

We had a 30A (NEMA L14-30P 125/250 Volt, 7500 Watts) generator inlet box installed on our house when we built it. We also had a NG line installed. We did use a large enough cable to upgrade to the 50A box down the line if we needed.
Looking for advice on a generator that is either easily convertible to NG or comes ready to run NG.

I have a similar set up as yours. I ordered the champion 10k/8k Tri fuel generator. Can’t wait to get it to try it out.

Depends on how much you are wanting to run.
You can convert almost any open frame generator to tri-fuel with a new carburetor off Amazon...about $30.
I did a Generac 5500 for my dad after Ida...seemed to work fine when I tested it.
I don't know much about the bigger ones.

A couple of options:
Honda Generators fitted to run on NG
US Carburetion - kits for most gas engines

what is the budget here?

I'd definitely look at the best generator for you and not worry about getting a dual fuel specific generator. You'll pay more for something you can do yourself. The conversion kits are $250 bucks and extremely easy to install yourself. I have a 50A inlet with interlock kit installed on my house, but only have a 30A output on my generator for some reason (11KW). I'm able to run a 3 ton AC (with soft start kit) and all lights/etc. in my house on NG. So 30A is probably sufficient.

Would something like that work on a gas powered log splitter? I think what is on it is a briggs 12hp.
