ISO Dryer Vent Cleaning Service

What dryer vent cleaning service have you personally used in the Baton Rouge area that did a good job for you? My dryer vent goes up the inside of a wall, takes a right in the attic, and out to a vent under the eave.

My previous house had this type setup. We used Dryer Vents Plus out of BTR.

I don't know if you want to do it yourself or not, I understand wanting to pay someone. But I have some experience here in doing it myself and paying others that I've watched. Anyone you pay will use the exact same equipment you can buy at Lowes or HD for $20. If you have a long run buy 2 of them.
Lowes Dryer Duct Cleaner
You take a leaf blower on the dryer side and a shop vac on the outside vent side. Turn the shop vac on and go inside and use your drill and the cleaning tool with the blower hooked up and running. That's it. That's all they are going to do. Duct tape helps A LOT, as you want things sealed and taping like the blower and shop vac up helps keep them in place and good suction going.
Also, many people don't know if you have a long vent they make "long vent dryers". All they are are regular dryers with bigger blowers in them, I haven't looked in 3-4 years but they were only like $100 more than a regular dryer you just had to special order it. They also dry faster as they push more air.

You literally just need a drill w/brush attachment and leaf blower. Don't pay someone

Yeah, I do it twice a year and it takes about 20 minutes. Ours is routed through the basement, and I have about a 4 foot solid section that I undo and remove so I can use my drill brush and not have to get two of the brush kits. Pull the dryer out, run the brush through the wall vent as far as it goes and vacuum out on the other side. Then I run it through where it exits the house and vacuum on the outside. After doing it for a couple of years now, there isn't a ton of lint each time, but staying on top of it makes it quick work.

After cleaning it myself with the drill attachment a couple of times, I went with CC Chimney in Baton Rouge. They will clean or replace. For me, the vent was in such bad shape and made a 90 degree turn in the attic. They replaced it and went straight up to the roof. Two years ago...cost about $600. To just clean was around $250
