Is anyone familiar with the Frontier Elm Tree?

Was at a local nursery interested in buying a drake elm. The worker helping me was showing me some Frontier Elms as well as Drake Elms. She claimed the frontier elm was more of a ball canopy shade tree but didn’t have the long weeping down branches that the drake elm eventually has. They are similar trees. I’ve never heard of them but I am interested.
Does anyone have one of these at a larger mature size?

They’re pretty common in the landscape trade. Make really good street trees and are tolerant of heat and drought. Here’s a link showing a larger tree and its early fall colors. LINK

Would you go drake elm instead for shade?
The tag at the store says 40 foot height 40 foot canopy, but this website says 25 foot canopy. I wonder which is it

I would go with the tag. Monrovia tends to be on the small side. Many shrubs they say will get 36” tall end up growing 48-60” on me.

I’m not familiar with the Frontier Elm but Bracy’s sells some nice trees.

We have planted drake elms in the past - they grow pretty fast and have a impressive canopy

love drake elms but they have a tendency to lean when they mature

Yes we noticed that as well.
