Is an older (~8 yrs) push lawn mower engine (B&S) that started fine worth anything?

Engine ran fine but drum rusted out. Just bought a new one instead of replacing the drum. Is the engine worth the effort to sell?

Yeah, you can probably sell it on FB marketplace pretty easily. I had a 7 year old push mower that I sold on there for $60 a while back when I hired a lawn guy. Had multiple people message me about it and it was out of my garage the next day. Might’ve been able to get more for it, but I just wanted it gone quickly.
ETA: I see you’re just talking about an engine now. I had a working mower. But point still stands…put it on FB marketplace.
