In the market for a new push lawn mower

So when me and my wife moved into our house we needed a mower and she said she didn't want to smell gas in the garage so she wanted a battery operated. I had heard pretty good things so we got the Ryobi 40V mower, weedeater, and blower. I have no problems with the weedeater and blower, but I'm not a big fan of the mower. I just don't think it cuts as well as a gas mower. There's random missed spots that I know I went over and just overall I feel it's a worse cut. I just dealt with it though cause we have a small yard so with my 3 batteries I could do everything in one go. It's been about 5 years since and I recently had a battery go out. To replace it is like almost $200 and I just don't want to keep spending money on batteries and then the mower go out and I need another one of them too.
I've been looking at the Hondas and I saw they are about to stop making gas mowers. I'm thinking about scooping one of them up because I hear they last a long time. I know some people may suggest getting a higher voltage on the battery mower but I think I just want to switch back to gas and keep the electric weedeater and blower. I guess my question is are the Hondas as good as I've heard or what else should I look for?

Front drive self propelled with the big wheels on the back.

Had a Honda that was about 18 years old and the self-propell belt wore out during the Covid sideshow and getting a replacement was about 6 months. So, I purchased another Honda. It's been great and one of my buying criteria features is their blade stop feature because I bag my Geo Zoysia clippings. Basically, the blade stops while I bag my clippings so no stopping and starting the mower.

I’d go with Honda - had self-propelled Honda for 20 years and only replaced it when the transmission broke (an internal gear) and a replacement transmission was no longer available from Honda - but the engine ran as good as the day I bought it. Of course I replaced it with another Honda self-propelled.

I have two Honda’s and wouldn’t trade mine for the world. Their motors last forever and are just engineered well. I love the dual blades because they really cut grass clippings so small I don’t have to bag. The self propel I have works so well that’s I just steer it with one hand. That’s news to me they are getting out of the lawnmower business. California is nuts. What next are they going to band pressure washers over there?
