I had a big 12" saw for years. I down graded to one of the 7" Kobalts for under $100 and learned to get better with my circular saw. Couldn't be happier and I save a ton of shelf/floor space. I found I was mostly cutting 2x4s which the 7' saw can easily handle. I got tired of rolling out the bigger saw when I just need to cut a few boards. If you have a dedicated cutting area, go big. If it's something you need to just pull out to a work table occasionally, go smaller and get a good clamp on fence for you circular saw.

I have that saw as well. It cuts great and is ready to adjust. My only complaint is the LED light never worked.
