State Farm is the worst when it comes to wind damage…
File the appeal, but they are the business of making money and not taking care of you. Terrible company.

I know my neighbor behind me had a blue roof for 9+ months while he fought with State Farm and eventually won.
Correction to this. Found out today my neighbor had to come out of pocket $26k as State Farm never paid a penny after much fighting. I thought I understood him to have eventually won but I was wrong.

your roof guy should have come out during the adjusters inspection to to speak on your behalf and show the inspector evidence of roof damage.

It’s completely normal for insurance to not cover what you pay them for. They are just like the casino—they always win. Best bet is to save up and become self insured. Stop wasting your money on insurance

No they don't always win. Lawyer up, I did and won my settlement against my home owners insurance. It was a lengthy, stressful and costly process. I chose not to accept the denial of my claim.

I’m willing to bet your premium has gone up since.
