My Hibiscus is not blooming or something is eating the blooms. The plant earlier in the summer had four to five blooms every morning. Now I'm lucky to get one per week. Something is starting to eat on the leaves, so I'm guessing possibly eating the blooms as well.

I live in Coastal Alabama.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Use Scott’s Super Bloom once a week. Also use hibiscus food.

Seven kills bees. If the leaves are healthy, then you don’t need a pesticide. Likely it is just slowing down due to the season....try a time release fertilizer like Osmacote and be patient.

I had this problem early in the season with 1 plant. I hit it with hibiscus specific fertilizer.

Give it a couple weeks. If that doesn’t work, look for something with high phosphorus content. That’s the middle number in the fertilizer set.

Do bees even like hibiscus? I don't think I have ever seen a single bee on mine. Plenty of wasps hunting for bugs though.
