Have had the ice maker for 5ish years now. Clean it regularly. Just started making thin to no ice. I have made sure the cap to the water reservoir was tightly closed, as I have had that problem in the past. Not the issue now. The sheet of ice coming from the ice tray is not a full sheet. I tried watching a whole cycle, but keeping the door opened didn't seem to work well. Wondering if anyone had any suggestions before calling out a maintenance guy.

had K/A standalone for 10 yrs. Never had that problem, though. It died at 10 and I didn't bother to replace.

what you describe sounds like a low freon situation, but without looking at it, we can only guess.

parts of the cooling plate will often stop freezing water if the freon level is too low

also make sure your door isnt bent and the seal is sealing good

The only time I have this issue is when I need to change the filter. I’ve had my kitchenaid stand alone for 3 years.
