^^listen to the negatives on Leyland Cypress. They get huge, quick, and die just as fast. If you want to be in dispute with neighbor 10 years from now when your 30’ tall trees drop dead and fall on her side of the property line, go for it.

Just plant a cheap, fast growing hedge, like red tip photinia, or lorapetalum, or even old fashioned high bush azaleas like the Formosa variety.

they make this thing called a fence.. try that. or maybe check your neighbors knuckles instead of being an internet badass. you have a lawn guy, you get zero respect.

If your place is in fact in rural area what is the concern about neighbors grass? Other than visual what effects are you experiencing because of the neighbors talk grass?

Why does he need another reason? This guy isn't looking to sabatoge the neighbor or do anything detrimental to her property. He's asking about plants that can be planted on his property to block his view of the trash next door. I don't blame him.

My father in law didn't like the view behind his house, so he planted some of those Leyland Cypress trees. They've been there for probably five years now and they are massive. Doing their job perfectly.

I live on a road that is 2 miles long and has 6 houses on it. This is the only person that doesn't keep their yard maintained. I'm talking half arse bush hogging the front yard enough so she can pull up to the front door.

Have you checked in on the neighbor to see if they have medical issues or something causing the neglect?

What if they yelled at you for the color of your house?
if I painted it polka dots and messed up my neighbors home value I would think that’s appropriate.

His neighbor decided to buy a house near others, he should have understood that compliance w general maint is expected

If you want to live like an animal that is great, just go get you a spot w no neighbors

I see her coming and going all the time.

I offered to pay my guy to mow her grass at least every 3 weeks and he said thanks but no thanks, I don't know whats in that yard.

One of my neighbors warned us when he found out she was moving in. He knew where she was living before moving in and just shook his head because his son does my yard and knows I like to keep my yard nice.
