Has anyone ever installed a garage vent on the door or wall?

I'm looking for a solution to vent my garage. I have an ambient temp gauge in my garage and I noticed it got up to 95 yesterday and was still near there at 10pm. So I'm looking to put a intake and exhaust fan on the door or on the back wall. Anyone done this?

I worry about bringing in all that humid air and it condensating.

Just get a through wall vent fan, Broan 507. They are pretty loud, but you shouldn’t need to run it long to move all of the hot air out. Any circulation would help

What about an intake? I know air will come in from the door but would an intake at a low level be worth it

Is your garage door insulated? That makes a huge difference.

My dad added some fans in his garage a long time ago, it didn’t make much difference.

you do realize almost no house anywhere has attic insulation over the garage space or garage walls.

i bet 98% of that heat is from your attic, insulate the attic space over the garage and it will drop temps in the garage hugely

yes i do know that.

I should have prefaced, i dont have access to the attic without climbing all through the house attic. so radiant barrier or insulation cant happen without a attic door install.

I have the same problem--it's beastly hot in my garage due to three west-facing garage doors. I didn't go w/insulated garage doors as the garage is not heated/cooled or insulated. I do have a bank of three windows on a north-facing side wall of the garage, and they're double-hung. I'm wondering if leaving the windows open 1" at the top will help matters at all. Or am I just inviting moisture problems?

Garage is also made hotter by fridge & chest freezer out there.

Any better ideas than a window cracked at the top?
