Are they easy to remove if you need to clean the gutters?
Yep, very easy to remove, just as they are easy to install. Last weekend I got on the ladder to spray off the catkins; one panel was a little bent downward and retained too much stuff, another panel had some holes (either squirrels or a branch hit it). Bought 2 new ones at Lowes, slid out the old ones, slid in the new ones. Easy-peasy.
Crawdude, I see you mentioned overlap. I've seen some brands that have or call for overlap, the ones I use I just butt against each other.

Understood - when butting them, I can see no issue with removal and replacement. When notched an 3/4 in or so to provide a little overlap, it might provide a bit more rigidity to the gutter guards where they meet, but it requires a little more “finesse” to remove and tuck in a replacement. But in 3 years I’ve only had to replace 2 guards.
Here are a couple YouTube videos on install

Initially I did not use screws into the lip of the gutter to hold the guards b/c b/c they snap in pretty tight, but one day during a major wind gust, one guard did pop out, so I sent back and put small self tapping screws, 2 per guard, 1/3 inward from the edge of the guards to prevent that in the future. I used a small 12 v Bosch impact driver and they screwed right in with no issue.
