Recently I drove my son’s SUV out to Camp Pendleton north of San Diego so he would have it to drive. I’ve always flown over a lot of those states when doing business on the west coast so I thought I’d take the opportunity to see what the Southwest looked like. I actually liked those no grass yards but me personally I prefer green grass. Another option is change your grass. A lot of us that grew up in Louisiana and Texas love a good looking St Augustine yard but that’s a grass that needs tending to more than other cultivars. I’ve got 4 different types of grass in my yard. The Palisades Zoysia by far has weathered this heat much better than the centipede and Tifway 419 bermuda. Best I can tell that’s some tough arse grass that can thrive on minimal amounts of water.

Yeah, but you’re still going to have a nut grass problem. Lol.
