giant openings in the cabinet where my water & drain lines are

I have a one story house with a basement and when i was putting the new dishwasher in last week i noticed under the kitchen faucet the water lines (about the size of a quarter) were coming up through holes the size of the lid of a campbell's soup can.
this leads directly into the space above my basement drop ceiling. it seems like a terribly easy way for rodents to get into your house.
so can i just spray some great stuff and be on my way or is there a reason to leave it alone? what would you recommend to make these spaces less open?

Do you have a trim nailer? There's a reasonable chance you'll need to move those hoses around in the future. I'd do something like tack a board up with screws or a trim nailer. Heck you could probably even just glue a piece of cardboard? Then just rip it out if need be in the future? I don't think I'd over think it.

They make a trim piece that goes over the pipe and should be about the size you are describing.

If the rodents are in your basement drop ceiling they are already in your house. Seems like a waste of time unless you're trying to keep the rodents in the basement away from the cheetos in your kitchen
If you're not heating or cooling the basement all the time then sealing the plumbing openings with spray foam would be a good idea.
