Getting grass seed to spout

Had some tree guys out to cut dead trees and they tore all the existing St A grass up, more rains came and created a muddy slop. In bought some Brumuda seed at a tractor and spread it several times, no luck? What else can I do here?
I guess I can do Rye until the old grass comes across?
Advise?

how many days has it been since you put down the bermuda? What did you cover the seed with? How much watering daily have you done to keep the seed moist?

Depends on your temp, rye isn't going to last in heat.

Gotta keep grass seed moist for it to germinate. Water daily. Bermuda grows fast, so that's a plus.
Don't waste your time on rye grass. Won't survive in the heat.

Probably soil temperature was to cool for your early plantings - usually late April/May is the time to plant it in the BR area - if I recall correctly soil temps need to be about 75 F + for good germination, and it can take a couple weeks for it to germinate. That soil temp usually equates to air temps consistently in the mid 80s +.

I watered lightly it every day for almost a week. We have been getting too much rain and it prolly washed away. I put the seed down four times and racked soil on top. Just never came up. I thought it would sprout in a week maybe that's where I went wrong.
Thanks
