Generator question.

Just had generator installed. Just started for first time doing the 20 hour run before they come change oil . I flicked power off circuit breaker on generator leading to powering house. Manually started , going to let run 2 maybe 3 hours. This is where I am confused. When I am ready to turn off what are my steps. Would appreciate the help. I know to turn off, what do I do that get generator back to auto in case we need it? Thanks guys!

I can never remember the order, but there is a specific order, including breaker and off/on switch . I just YouTube every time.
