I will not be able to look at it until this afternoon, but gas dryer is not getting hot. Seems it is drying like it is on low temperature even when set to high.

Looking for possible problems before I start looking at it. Kenmore Elite Oasis if that matters.

TIA

Check the exhaust vent to make sure it is not blocked with lint

If it's not getting hot, check out the igniter. Modern dryers have electronic igniters and they can go out. It is just a matter of getting the right igniter and installing it, which usually takes about 15 minutes once you find it.

Check out u-tube videos on your particular model and you'll see what I'm talking about.

had the same prob. Gas dryer has prob. two solenoids that control heat level. So, first, advice on insuring the vent is clear is good advice. If ok, then I would pursue replacing the solenoids. I spent about $25 on two new solenoids and if you are reasonably handy you can do it. Go to applicancerepairpro.com ?? site, has repair videos that are most helpful. Type in the dryer make, model to YOUTUBE and it should also be helpful. For me, sure beat the price of a new dryer, damn thing is till working fine for me and I did this job almost 2 years ago.
