fence picket gap

Is there a product that can be used to fill in some fence picket gaps that are too wide? I'd prefer to fill gaps in some manner so as to not see through in some areas.

I'd say rip some strips of picket and nail over the gaps. Don't imagine that would look great though. I sure don't know of any specific product for that. You may also be able to use the shadow boxing method of pickets. Though on a established fence you might want to rip then into 1/2 or 1/3 so as not to waste so much.

This is what I’d suggest as well, which would be a board and batten fence and look like b&b siding (pic below). But I would see if you can get some lattice strips instead, which are ~1-1/2”x1/2”. If it’s a cedar fence, you can find it in cedar also. Then use a brad nailer with galvanized or stainless brads. Or you can rip pickets as suggested, it’d just be more work.

Do not use galvanized on a cedar fence. Stainless only.

Popsicle sticks seem to work pretty decent.
