Looking to see if anyone has a channel that they would recommend with general DIY home repair/build videos.

Not looking for anything in particular.

More looking to just increase my general knowledge.

Trying to take on a new hobby.

Yea, that’s generally why I’m trying to get out ahead on finding a good channel.

Mattbangswood is a really good one.
The dude is a house framer and documents his builds. He thoroughly explains the tools, measurements, types of wood..etc

It’s not diy but I enjoy watching Perkins brothers builders. It’s very informative and funny. Plus ol boy cut off his fingers so they are always talking about safety.

Sheetrock work takes patience. Too many people want to slap on a thick coat of mud and be done in one step. This will NEVER give a good result.

You should plan for at least three layers if your a DIY and know how to use the knife. You need a 4",6" and 8 or 12" knife.

Well, I primed my wall yesterday so I get to find out how much I fricked up later today

If this doesn’t work, I’m calling a handy man to come do it for me

In case anyone was wondering, I mounted my tv. I had the wire kit inserts where one circular hole is behind the TV and one circular insert is below, next to the receptical

When I went to fish my wires through, we found a horizontal 2x4 running across the wall

Essential Craftsman is a good one. He hits on a wide variety of stuff. Hes actually building a house right now, it's been a long project so far. About to get into the interior work of the house.

Essential craftsman is one of my favorites, I also like the Honest Carpenter. Dirt Farmer Jay has some good videos, and some that you won't care about.
