Starting a project this week....
Gonna make cedar shutters to replace the ugly plastic ones.
I’ve researched exterior stains and seems it’s like asking someone their favorite , 1 million opinions!
Do you fine folk have any recommendations and or experiences with exterior stains? TIA!

1-1.5 years if to isn’t being hit with water coming off a roof line

Most I’ve researched lasted 3 years.

I have 2 gallons of TWP that I’ve never opened. Bought last fall to do my Cypress posts on back porch, but didn’t like the color (different from the test sample from store vs on my drop of cypress).
I’m just gonna use Minwax stain and some marine/spar Poly. Last house it typically would last 1-2 years and was not tough to recoat.
