Anyone have one of these bumpless trimmers? What happens if the sensor breaks?

We have a bunch of ego tools. I had one battery that went bad and a switch broke on our mower. They just sent replacements for each one after doing some quick troubleshooting over the phone.

The battery cells are good, the BMS is probably what is bad so I am holding onto it, I might try installing a new BMS or just hold onto the cells if one of my batteries wears out.

I did have to turn in my mower, but the place let me keep the old battery so that was a score.

I never could get it to feed the line and replaced it with a loop head from Home Depot. Works great now and only needs to be charged every 6-8 uses

The traditional bump head one is $100 cheaper (ST1511T). Guess I'll stick with that one.

Update: went to Stine and bought the one with the Line IQ. I'll test it out tomorrow.

Why do you hate it? Mine works great. Better than most gas bump feed trimmers I’ve used.

Did my first cut with it and it works as advertised. My only knock is the battery is heavy, however the smaller one’s will work as well.

Everything else about the trimmer is the best, I love the overall range of EGO products, but I had to replace the head on my trimmer as it started falling apart, I even contacted EGO and ordered from them(expensive like $45) and it's different than the original I can't get it to work by hitting on the ground, I have to stop the trimmer and manually advance the head each time I want more string out.

Which is seriously annoying.
