Diesel tractor mechanic in Donaldsonville area

I have a Yanmar diesel engine that I can’t seem to figure the problem for. Had injection pump changed out and it wasn’t timed correctly. Since then it has steadily smoked and I have the smell of diesel constantly coming out of the exhaust. Now it’s starting to spudder after I run it for about 20-30 minutes. It kills then it starts back up but runs like shite.

isn't there a Sunshine Equipment dealer right there by the Sunshine Bridge? Have you tried them or are you looking for an independent mechanic?

Yes there is but looking to see if I don’t have to sell my kidney to get it fixed. Had problems in past with them diagnosing a problem and ended up being something totally different.

Go see JB Castagnos. He still does a some work out of his old shop. Classic cars mostly, but he might help. If JB can’t fix it, throw it away.
