Have had a couple that stopped charging. Any of y’all had any experience sending back to DeWalt for replacement?

I don't think DeWalt will repair a battery pack. Only replace under warranty. I use a local company to rebuild them with new LG cells. A little bit cheaper than buying new battery packs and they have a bit more capacity. Voltman is another option.

I emailed DeWalt after a 40v battery didn't last a year. They sent me a new one no questions asked

My late father had same with Ryobi. 1st three batteries they just sent him replacements. The 4th time they sent him to "an authorized repair facility" which was one guy about 5 years younger than Dad operating out of a portable building on the edge of town doing small engine and electrical repairs part time.

Took 3-4 weeks for him to hand it back to Dad and advise contacting Ryobi again.

You can jump it off a similar battery that has a charge. Just like a car. Only need to touch the terminals on batteries for a second or two. Then battery will charge. It’s on YouTube. I’ve done it and it works.

Thanks. I'll email them and see what happens.

Me too. The deal is the battery is discharged to a point the charger won't sense it. Hook the positive terminal to the positive of the 12 bolt battery (or trickle charger) and negative sides up and let it charge to a point the charger will sense it. I brought back a 40 Kobalt battery to life.

This is a big time safety feature.... Li-ion batteries have lots of circuitry inside the pack to keep them safe. Over discharged batteries have the potential to form internal shorts, and the only way you know they have formed is when they explode during charging.
