Yes, if it is 4 months old now it will be 7 months old or so by the time you put it out. The only reason I wouldn't put it out is if my lawn was weak and thin.
Let me clarify - it will be 4 months old by the time I put the Specticle out. It's really taken off already even with all the heat and no rain we've had as of late.
I was able to find Barricade (is this it? LINK) - I haven't been able to find Specticle available though? Any idea?
Thanks!

Specticle in the fall and barricade in the spring. Active ingredient in barricade is prodiamine.
I’ll also mention Dimension (dithiopyr) is a good lawn pre-emergent as well - particularly in spring as it does have efficacy on young crabgrass post-germination if you get a little busy and miss your ideal application window for your late winter pre-emergent application. Crabgrass seeds germinate at a soil temperature of 55 F.
P.S. be aware that Specticle Flo (spray version) is considerably more expensive than Prodiamine & Dimension but when you run numbers the cost per 1000 sq ft per application is reasonable in my opinion (recalling from memory about $2.50 per 1000 sq ft). I use it - along with Dimension & Prodiamine. Specticle will control some lawn weeds that Prodiamine & Dimension won’t - Doveweed being one that I had an issue with until I started using Specticle.

As long as it is well rooted and healthy it will be fine. That is barricade. Normally you can just google Specticle and find it for sale. I'm not sure if it is out of stock everywhere.

THANKS GUYS!
I found Specticle Flo on a few different sites (out of stock on DoMyOwn) and it's pushing $300+ for an 18oz bottle.

Yes - Site One has it at $300, nearly $100 increase in 2 years when I first bought it, and it’s hard to beat Site One pricing. For my 10,000 sq ft lawn I calculated 4 years out of a bottle, at 2 applications per year.

Thanks; so hypothetically if I sprayed MSMA then I would not need dig up the dead plants? How do I prevent them from coming back every year?

It looks like they do not have the 18oz bottle available.
Can anyone sign up on their site and order online or?

Where you located - my Site One app says the 18 oz bottle is in stock in Baton Rouge. The only other store in LA is in Mandeville. I don’t think anyone can sign up for an account - think you have to have an LLC or equivalent, but anyone can walk into the store and buy.
