Current BR forecast and laying down preemergent on St. Aug

Weather for Thursday, 10/12:
High 82, Low 65
Weather for Friday, 10/13:
High 90, Low 69
Weather for Saturday, 10/14:
High 82, Low 56
Weather for Sunday, 10/15:
High 74, Low 52
Question: Precipitation expected only today and none of the dates listed above. Can I lay down some pre-emergent in the afternoon between any of these dates?
Also, is the Clegg's cocktail still useful as a winter pre-emergent or is it strictly to be used in the Spring?

Apply it now when it’s convenient for you - don’t overthink it - just be sure it’s watered in via rain or sprinklers.
Cleggs winter weed cocktail (Fertilome Weed Free Zone + Atrazine + Surfactant) is a post-emergent mixture, though Atrazine has some pre-emergent activity, and yes you can use it now when daytime temps are in the 70s, of course don’t use it on actively growing Bermudagrass.

Thanks Craw. I can get a 5 lb bottle of Prodiamine for $99 by tomorrow.

I can get through my front and back yards with a 2 gallon sprayer. How much would I need to use? And does it have a fairly sustainable shelf life after opening? I wouldn't want to buy a bottle of this stuff and have it go bad. Also, is it applicable to more than just winter pre-emergent?
Sorry for all the questions. Trying to tackle my yard better so that it looks better in the next year or so.

Double check the label, but I think it’s 0.5 oz or 3 tsp per 1,000 sq feet.
5lbs will last you years, give some away to your neighbors or a friend.
It should be fine for 5-7 years if kept out of extreme temperatures.
Yes, use for both fall and spring applications.

Prodiamine is 1.5 level teaspoons per gallon of water to treat 1000 sq feet

Thanks for the correction Hedge. See folks, that’s why you read the label.
I wrote 0.5 oz on my container so I just assumed that converted similarly to 3 liquid teaspoons.
