Crabgrass took over a good bit of my yard. I did trimec earlier this year as suggested to kill some other stuff. What should I do to knock out the crab grass?

Celsius WG killed the hell out of crabgrass in my yard and didn’t kill my grass. It takes awhile for that stuff to work, but in 3 weeks most should be dead or dying. Whatever is still there spray it again. I had a bad problem with crabgrass, but not anymore.

Quinclorac if you have Bermuda (do not use on St. Aug or Centipede)

Are you sure it’s carb and not dallisgrass?

If it’s crabgrass, there’s options.

If it’s Dallisgrass, dig it up or round up.

Also, what you use is dependent on your grass type. So I’d mention that

Similar issue here. What’s the mixing ratio?

Yep Crabgrass is not the difficult to control but Dallis is a mofo unless you have a Bermuda/Zoysia yard.

I have about twelve very small patches that I thought was crabgrass so I mixed up some Quinclorac about a month ago and spot sprayed them and all it did was burn my Bermuda. Then two weeks ago I sprayed the whole yard with MSM and just about got everything except those spot which I’m pretty sure are Dallis now. So I mixed some MSMA yesterday and spot sprayed them and time will tell.

I’m sorry for late response. Just logging back online. The big bottle of Celsius WG has a measuring cup. I think it’s somewhere around a teaspoon per gallon. They sell it in a smaller quantity for I believe 2 gallon sprayers. Maybe you get 4 gallons total. I’ve never bought it in small quantities but it’s pre measured for you per gallon.

Did some research and it definitely looks like dallisgrass. Same spots come back every year and now more spots are popping up. How do I eradicate this? Of course the dallisgrass grows while the rest of my lawn is struggling.

Dig it up is the quickest and easiest.

As Ronk and Dallaswho have said digging is the easiest and safest without having to nuke it glyphosate.

Msma is the answer here. I use a paintbrush for dallisgrass. Also you could mix fuilsade, roundup, tricoyplr, and NSO. The chemical mixture is called sole stealer

I just had some MSMA delivered. I have a couple spots of dallisgrass and crabgrass i want to take care of. It looks like it's safe to use on my bermuda, but would you recommend the paintbrush method over a backpack sprayer?
