Construction on HWY 61 North of Zachary

Just Curious. What kind of construction project is happening on Hwy 61 North of Zachary. They diverted road and seem to be working 24/7. Not from BR but pass thru every couple of weeks.

This is not north of Zachary. Are you talking about 61 and 964?

Ha!! Who knows at this point, it’s been in the works for about 20 years now....I think they are shooting for actual completion in 2023 but could be wrong.

There is the bridge on 964 and 61 that they tore down and are rebuilding. It has been going on for almost three years. They built the Golden Gate Bridge faster than the rebuild of a one block bridge over Thompson Creek.
