Our home would feature the first floor with metal, second floor shingle, both matching as close as they can in color.

Not exact designs, but similar styles below based solely on color and roof placements:

Cost is probably your only factor here. If they are separate roofs like in these photos, no issues with constructability.

Standing seam will probably be 2-3x more expensive that shingle and have a fat lead-time attached to it in the current market. Especially if it's only a small amount or material.

Only con I can think of is price. We were going to do something similar in our new build but went with all shingles due to price.

Costs on a small metal roof job right now is crazy.....
But also the construction process takes a little patience. I hate guys walking and painting on my metal. The paintwr wont like working on the metal either. So basically I like to flash everything, then Hardie, then paint, then install roofing. The issue is do you insulate and sheetrock or do you wait. I have done both and neither is optimal, but the dormers in metal have caused me more issues. To me it's easiest to do the dormer in shingle and do metal over porches, while keeping the look.

I have that exact setup. I like the look although I wish I would have done it all standing seam for the longevity. Price drove the initial decision of course as I'm sure yours will.

ETA: although you didn't ask, if you're going with gutters, I'd go with black (like the pic above). We went with white gutters and I can't stand the tiger stripes that you will eventually get and they're a bitch clean.
