Just had a house built and from the rain water during construction I have some red dirt stains on the brick. Any useful tips on how to clean it without messing with the color of the brick itself?

Is it just around the base of the brick? Probably don't need a pressure wash, but that's probably the fastest way. Hit it with a water hose with a spray nozzle and see how easy it comes off. A stiff brush would also help knock off any clumps of mud. If that doesn't get it easily, go get one of those $100 electric pressure washers from Lowe's.

i put hay down during construction to keep it off, that or some straw is a good option until you can sod the area if you dont want to put in a bed

I was in the brick industry for 15 years. If the brick is sand coated, do not pressure wash. All builders should put hay down to prevent this. No good way to remove it. Plant bushes.

I had pretty good results with this stuff. Spray it on with a garden sprayer and Let it sit 5 minutes and Then lightly power wash at an angle.
