Cedar Fence: should I water treat it

It’s about 2 years old. In very good shape. Just curious if I should put water seal on it (I’ve heard Thompson’s is crappy) or just leave it as is an clean pressure wash it periodically. If there is a particular brand of treatment, please include. Thanks

No need. Let it age gracefully.

Personally I would stain it, I used Ready Seal natural cedar on mine. Here are two before pics and one after pic. It's about five years old and still looks great although it could probably use a little touch up.

I used Behr Semi-transparent stain on mine a couple yrs ago. I went with chocolate as the color but they have many options to choose from. Top pic was prior to cleaning with 30 Second Cleaner.

How did yall apply it? Roller, brushes, spray?

What do your neighbors think about their backyard view of your RV and RV cover structure?

I sprayed mine because the boards are staggered and a roller wouldn't work well. However keep in mind that I probably used twice as much stain that it would have taken with a roller and stain is pretty expensive. If the fence is flat I would definitely just use a roller and then a brush to fill in the hard to get spots or possibly a sprayer to get inbetween the boards.

I sprayed mine to get it on the would but would brush it in to smooth it out. I’d sprayed about 6ft of boards then run a brush over it.

She’s a beaut, Clark! You should ask the neighbors. I don’t really give a damn!
