Can I dethatch lawn now or do I have to wait?

Like aeration (aerification), best to dethatch when lawn is in active growth to help it recover. I’d personally wait a couple months.

Ok to do it a few weeks after slow release fertilizer?
I only get one chance a year to do centipede fertilizer so don’t want to screw it up haha

Of course, I do 2 apps of fert on my centipede. Just use half of what you normally would around tax day then the other half around the 4th of July.
