It is driving me nuts. I sprayed Fertilome Weed Out with TriMec last Wednesday. It knocked out other weeds but not the Burweed. I put out Prodiamine in the fall

Well, if you find a solution, let the group know. My brother-in-law has been fighting that crap for a couple years now and he has damn near a 2 acre lawn loaded with it.

The Trimec should get it, but it will take longer than a week.

Prodiamine, while a great product is poor on burweed. Put down some Atrazine or Simazine in the fall and save the prodiamine for February... or better yet mix them and spray both

Spray Atrazine or Simazine the first of October and then again 60 days later.

thanks for the info. I plan on seeing my brother-in-law later this week and will pass this info on to him.

He's got 3 young grandkids who have quit playing in his yard due to being stuck so much by those damn things.

Yes they are a major pest. You have to catch them early because once that sticker (seed) is there, its there to stay. Even if you kill the foliage.

Make sure Atrazine or Simazine gets watered in after spraying
