I'm wanting a 16*24 shop. I'm pretty handy but the time is really my main thing. I've priced a derksin building and it's like $8k.
Anybody built one that size? Is it worth it to do it yourself?

That better include a concrete slab foundation.

It’s not his. Old saying we use in construction world quite a bit, also Good, Fast, & Cheap is common as well.

For that size and price have you looked at Carolina/eagle metal buildings? Hell my 36x24 with 2 10x10 doors was only 9k before concrete.

Wanting a 30x40 or so in the near future. I am planning on subbing it out. My brother built a 40x70 all metal, with 14' ceilings for less than 20. Concrete included. He formed the slab, rented the scissor lift, and helped with construction. I plan on following this route.

Not necessarily. I built a 20x30 with (9)6x6's, doubled up 8" CEE bolted to them and 6" ZEE purlins for the roof. Walls were top hat stringers on 2 foot centers. R-panel roof and outside walls. Inside walls are plywood.
My floor was 57 stone top dressed with crushnrun.
