Best jig saw blade for cutting hardy

I’ve got to cut some 1 inch thick hardy with a jig saw. I’m cutting boxes for my electric boxes that can trim into my hardy siding. My wet saw cuts it like butter but I’ve got the cut the box in the middle for the electric box to fit in. I’ve worn out a diamond jig saw blade and didn’t even finish one box.

Use a side grinder with a concrete blade to do most of the cutting then use your jigsaw blade to finish the corners.

How do I steady the side grinder for cutting a straight line. I’ve got a grinder but I’m not sure I can keep it steady enough. Just balance on a 2x4 as a lever?

I use a thick sharpie and cut along the line while holding it steady with both hands. If you make a small mistake the socket covers will cover it.
Make a work table out of your sawhorses and put a 2 x 4 a few inches on each side of your cut out.

A carbide grit blade from HD or Lowes. You may have to look in the floor tile area of the store if you don't find one with the regular jig saw stuff.

Just installed hardie on my whole house. Carbide tipped is the key. Other than that and you’ll burn it up. Also, an oscillating saw with a carbide tip works like a champ.
Also also, spyder hole saws.

Ended up getting a Hardee blade made by Hitachi that my local hardware store recommended. It was a machine. It ate it up the hardie in no time. The carbide blade I started with couldn’t finish one box before it was dead. This blade did 9 on the same blade. It was 1 inch thick trim so maybe that’s why. Thanks for the help guys.

This is how I did it.
