Bluegrass has a shallow root structure. Fescue is actually a deep rooting grass and requires less water. Bluegrass will come up easy. Fescue does not. Takes a lot of work to pull up established fescue and generally it does not pull up at all. You'll rip all the foliage off above ground before the roots come out.
